French on your Mobile Phone

This site offers a few ways to use and practise French on your mobile phone. With mobile access to the French-English dictionary, you can look up French words on the move. Alternatively, use the mobile vocab games to spend a few minutes brushing up on your vocab.

French vocab games for your iOS device

If you have an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, then you may be interested in this site's French Vocab Games for iPhone. The app is compatible with the other devices.

The vocab games app features 1,200 items of vocabulary split into 20 topics, covering core vocabulary for GCSE exams in the UK and for basic school French courses in other countries. This is a must if you want a fun way to learn and re-inforce your French vocab on your iPhone or iPad.

Using the French dictionary on your iPhone/iPad

You can also use the French dictionary on your iPhone or iPad. Simply go to the usual address. The system will automatically detect that you are browsing on an iPhone or iPad and present you with a special version optimised for the smaller screen size.

WAP version of the French dictionary

This special version of the French-English dictionary has been designed to run on WAP-enabled mobile phones, allowing you to look up French words on your mobile.

Mobile French games

A couple of simple French vocabulary games are available for Java-enabled phones.

Unfortunately, due to their age, these games are no longer supported. You are welcome to still download them from the web site while they are still available, but unfortunately I can no longer issue any fixes/updates for them or answer questions about them.
